teaspoon
matcha powder
¼
cup
hot water
½
cup
milk (dairy or plant-based)
¼
cup
fresh or frozen blueberries
1
tablespoon
honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, heat water until it's almost boiling.
Add matcha powder to a mug or glass. Pour a little hot water into the mug and whisk until the matcha powder is dissolved and there are no clumps.
Add the rest of the hot water and whisk until frothy.
In a blender, combine milk, blueberries, and honey or maple syrup. Blend until smooth.
Pour the blueberry milk mixture into the mug with the matcha.
Stir gently to combine, or leave it layered for a beautiful presentation.
Notes
If you don't have a whisk, you can use a fork to mix the matcha powder and water.
You can adjust the sweetness of the latte by adding more or less honey or maple syrup.
If you're using frozen blueberries, you may need to heat them up slightly before blending to make them easier to mix.
For a stronger matcha flavor, you can add another 1/2 teaspoon of matcha powder.
You can make this recipe iced by using cold milk and adding ice to the blender.
