Ingredients
For the salmon:

6-ounce salmon fillets, skin-on

barbecue sauce

olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
For the mango salsa:

ripe mango
diced
½
red onion
diced
¼
cup
chopped cilantro
¼

diced red bell pepper

jalapeño
seeded and minced (optional)
Juice of 1 lime
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium heat.
In a small bowl, combine the barbecue sauce and olive oil.
Brush the salmon fillets with the BBQ sauce mixture and season with salt and pepper.
Place the salmon skin-side down on the grill and cook for 6-8 minutes.
Flip the salmon and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until cooked through.
While the salmon is cooking, combine all the mango salsa ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Serve the grilled salmon with a generous scoop of mango salsa on top.
Notes
You can use any type of barbecue sauce you like, but a sweet and smoky variety works well with the mango salsa.
If you don't have a grill, you can cook the salmon in a grill pan or oven.
Adjust the amount of jalapeño in the salsa to your preferred spice level.
Feel free to add other fruits and vegetables to the salsa, such as pineapple, avocado, or cucumber.
