Ingredients
For the brownies:

box
(18.3 ounces) brownie mix
Ingredients called for on the brownie mix box (usually eggs, oil, and water)
For the chocolate pudding:

cups
milk
1
(5.9-ounce)
box instant chocolate pudding mix
For the whipped cream:
1
cup
heavy cream
2
tablespoons
powdered sugar
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
Instructions
Prepare the brownies according to the package directions. Let them cool completely before cutting into cubes.
While the brownies are cooling, prepare the chocolate pudding according to package directions. Refrigerate until ready to use.
In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract with a whisk or electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
In a large trifle dish or glass bowl, layer half of the brownie cubes, half of the chocolate pudding, and half of the whipped cream.
Repeat layers with the remaining brownies, pudding, and whipped cream.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can use homemade or store-bought brownies for this recipe.
You can also use homemade chocolate pudding if you prefer.
If you want to make this trifle ahead of time, assemble it and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before serving.
